questions?
It’s completely normal to have questions when considering body-based therapy. Here are some answers to help you understand how we work.
Is this therapy or counselling?
No. Body + Mind Reset is not psychological therapy or counselling.
While conversation may help guide sessions, the primary focus is on the body, on movement, sensation, breath, and nervous system regulation. You are never required to share personal history or trauma, unless you feel you want to and it is appropriate for you. We are here for you.
Is this religious?
No. This work is not religious and does not require any belief system.
The gentle movement we use during yoga classes does not involve any religious practices and is used purely as a therapeutic tool for nervous system regulation and stress release.
Will I be pushed hard or made to exercise?
No. There is no performance, no forcing, and no pushing through pain. Everything is guided by your comfort and capacity. Our somatic and restorative treatments comprise gentle movements and stretching while our yoga classes are structured to honour your body.
How is the nervous system work and yoga different from physiotherapy or massage?
Physiotherapy and massage work directly with injury or tissue. While we offer massage therapy that can help settle the nervous system, the somatic release work is for long-term regulation and the yoga is for maintaining health, flexibility, and mobility.
Our nervous system/somatic release work focuses on helping the nervous system learn how to settle and release, supporting long‑term regulation and resilience alongside physical relief.
Do I need to be fit or flexible?
No. All sessions are adapted to your body exactly as it is today.
Is everything personalised?
Yes. Every session responds to how your body presents on the day. You are always encouraged to pause, adjust, or redirect.
